To “Dear Mrs. Everitt.” Shackleton writes:
“Many thanks for your very kind letter;
it was a pretty thin meeting, but still I only went as you and your
husband asked me, and perhaps it may do some good. Please excuse my
not writing myself, as I am living in a wild rush. Yours very sincerely,
Ernest Shackleton”
