Lincoln & Hamlin Campaign Ferrotype

[LINCOLN CAMPAIGN -1860]. Small donut campaign ferrotype with portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin. One inch diameter. Lincoln’s ferrotype has suffered some loss of the surface at 8 o’clock, though not affecting Lincoln’s bust portrait. Hamlin’s portrait affected with only some slight surface scratches. The brass shell remains free from any noticeable defects. The original ribbon, usually missing, remains in excellent condition. An interesting campaign item dating to Lincoln’s first run for the presidency.
